Matteo Villani was born in Milan, Italy, on January 10, 1998. He attends Liceo Artistico Giovanni XXIII, with a focus on Multimedia, and begins experimenting and shooting short films, including "Memorie di una strage," which won an internal competition at the Liceo. At the same time, to better learn the technique, Matteo participated for two consecutive years in Filmmaking courses, at Harvard and in New York held by the New York Film Academy, where he made short films that were appreciated by both professors and students. After high school he enrolled at NABA, where he wrote and directed a number of short films. He participates on sets as an assistant director for commercials and theatrical works. "Il Randagio" is his first fiction work written and shot during the COVID 19 pandemic.
